I’m beyond excited to share that I’ve officially self-published my very first coloring book on Amazon — and it’s all about DOGS! This book holds a special place in my heart because it was inspired by my former students. Back when I was teaching, I would draw custom coloring pages of animals for them — and dogs were always a favorite.

Those classroom moments sparked the idea to create a full coloring book, and I knew I had to start my series with the animal I love most. Creating this book was a labor of love, and I’m incredibly proud to see it out in the world. Whether you're a fellow dog lover, an educator, or someone who just enjoys coloring, I hope this book brings as much joy to you as it brought to me while making it!

I'm currently in the editing stage of a very special children’s book that’s close to my heart — inspired by my incredible Grandmama, Georgan Schmitz. She was not only a remarkable woman, but also the former owner of an elementary school that emphasized strong morals and a solid educational foundation.

One of the school’s proudest traditions was the Busy Bee Award — given to students who worked hard, took pride in their efforts, and always did their best. That spirit of dedication and heart inspired the story I’ve written, and I can’t wait to share it with young readers and families.

This book is a tribute to Grandmama's legacy and to all the little “busy bees” out there who show up every day with determination and kindness. The release date is still to be determined, but I’m so excited for what’s ahead. Stay tuned — the hive is buzzing with anticipation!
